This is a two component ceramically reinforced polyamide cured zinc rich epoxy coating. It is a fast drying, high solids, high zinc dust containing product. It conforms to the compositional requirements of SSPC paint 20, level 2 and ISO 12944-5. It provides very good corrosion protection as part of a complete coating system. To be used as primer in atmospheric environments. Suitable for carbon steel, repair of inorganic zinc silicate coating and damaged galvanised steel substrates. This product complies with ASTM D520 type II zinc dust.

The SHIELD range are commercial primers formulated for easy application by leisure users who do not have access to spray equipment and are available in smaller 2.5 litre tins.
For all metal - Use ST Epoxy Primer which bonds well to bare metal but is tolerant of less than perfect preparation, then High Build Epoxy to increase the thickness of the protective layer. Use Quick-Dry Spot Primer, in a handy 500ml, tin to prime small areas of bare metal before applying a single-pack topcoat.
For bare GRP/Fibreglass/gelcoat - Apply High Build Epoxy to repair and build up the GRP/gelcoat layer, easily sanded to provide a smooth finish ready for your topcoat.
For previously painted surfaces - Use Undercoat above the waterline and Underwater Primer below to form a good base for your topcoat or antifouling.

Ballastic Black Premium Hull Blacking – A high build bitumen coating that is ideal for use below the waterline on narrowboats, canal boats and for vessels on the inland waterways.
Conseal TU Aluminium - One-coat solution aluminium coloured, high build, self-priming topcoat which can be applied direct to metal.
Alkyd Primer is a single pack oil based primer/undercoat for use on steel, wood and aluminium surfaces where Pilot II is the desired finish coat. It can also be used as a topcoat when a matt finish is required.
Ballastic Black is a traditional bitumen hull blacking. It has a higher percentage of volume solids than both Intertuf 16 and Rylards Rytex, It can be applied on bare steel or over existing coatings.

Safeguard Universal ES - Used as a two-pack tiecoat for good adhesion between primer and antifouling in a 18 litre pack. For a single-pack option in smaller size use Vinyguard Slivergrey.
