The SHIELD range are commercial primers formulated for easy application by leisure users who do not have access to spray equipment and are available in smaller 2.5 litre tins.
For all metal - Use ST Epoxy Primer which bonds well to bare metal but is tolerant of less than perfect preparation, then High Build Epoxy to increase the thickness of the protective layer. Use Quick-Dry Spot Primer, in a handy 500ml, tin to prime small areas of bare metal before applying a single-pack topcoat.
For bare GRP/Fibreglass/gelcoat - Apply High Build Epoxy to repair and build up the GRP/gelcoat layer, easily sanded to provide a smooth finish ready for your topcoat.
For previously painted surfaces - Use Undercoat above the waterline and Underwater Primer below to form a good base for your topcoat or antifouling.

Ballastic Black Premium Hull Blacking – A high build bitumen coating that is ideal for use below the waterline on narrowboats, canal boats and for vessels on the inland waterways.
Conseal TU Aluminium - One-coat solution aluminium coloured, high build, self-priming topcoat which can be applied direct to metal.
Alkyd Primer is a single pack oil based primer/undercoat for use on steel, wood and aluminium surfaces where Pilot II is the desired finish coat. It can also be used as a topcoat when a matt finish is required.
Ballastic Black is a traditional bitumen hull blacking. It has a higher percentage of volume solids than both Intertuf 16 and Rylards Rytex, It can be applied on bare steel or over existing coatings.

Baltoflake - A quick curing polyester coating that is reinforced with glass flakes and provides long term corrosion protection. Ideal for areas subject to extreme mechanical wear.
Barrier 90 - Jotun's highest specification zinc rich epoxy, containing 90% zinc in 8.75 litre tin. For 86% zinc and smaller size use Barrier in 4 litre size.
Safeguard Universal ES - Used as a two-pack tiecoat for good adhesion between primer and antifouling in a 18 litre pack. For a single-pack option in smaller size use Vinyguard Slivergrey.
Muki EPS - A shop primer designed for good welding and cutting speed, giving reduced weld porosity and back burning.

The Penguard Express range is for use as an anti-corrosive primer or intermediate coat for protection of steel, aluminium, concrete & GRP in atmospheric exposure above the waterline. It is primarily intended for use by steel fabricators on new steel rather than for marine use.
Penguard Express is a fast drying, two-pack epoxy primer which may be applied in high film thickness and at low temperatures. Suitable for use above the waterline.
Penguard Express MIO is a fast drying, high solids, two-pack epoxy coatings which can be applied at high film thicknesses and at low temperatures. It contains micaceous iron oxide for increased barrier effect.

Muki EPS is a multi-functional quick drying primer that contains iron oxide pigment. It is a two-pack epoxy and allows for fair cutting and welding.
A two-pack, modified low zinc ethyl silicate shopprimer that has been designed to allow for optimum cutting and welding. Gives reduced weld defects/backburning.
